While many people have been fleeing the city for the suburbs during the past year, many other New Yorkers have no plans to leave (long live NYC!), but are thinking for the first time about a second home. Whether you’re itching for more space on weekends, want a great home-away-from-home to spend vacations, are looking for easier access to nature, or just need a break from the city sometimes – this info session is a good place to start.
Come learn about areas to consider outside of NYC, and get a feel for the market and home-buying process. Compass agent and fellow mom Lindsay Rothman of Why Westchester will provide you with helpful information and pros & cons to think about when looking into buying a weekend/vacation home. She’ll bring on other local agents to cover the Hamptons, Catskills, Hudson Valley, Poconos, Jersey Shore, and Berkshires – and if there are other areas you’re interested in, she can connect you with the right people to help. There will also be time for any questions you might have.
Feel free to bring a glass of wine with you to the call, so you can sip away while picturing your future dream house! And if you’re not already a member, please also join the Facebook group Exploring the NYC Suburbs to connect with other parents considering areas outside NYC, ask questions and get answers, and find out about new listings.
This a free event, but RSVPs are required by 5pm EST on the day of the talk. An email will be sent to everyone who signs up ahead of time with the link for joining the Zoom. The talk will also be recorded and sent to anyone who RSVPs ahead of time.
By signing up for this event, you agree to be added to Mom Crew’s and Lindsay Rothman’s mailing list. You may unsubscribe at any time. If you would like to join without opting in, please email Mom Crew.
With an amazing eye for design, Lindsay Rothman helps clients see possibilities they might otherwise have missed, whether that's helping a seller to maximize their own property's best features or guiding a buyer who has overlooked a diamond in the rough. Lindsay got her start in the business by staging the homes of friends and family members, nearly all of which sold within weeks, proving that she had a natural gift for real estate marketing. Today, Lindsay applies that talent throughout her native Westchester County where loves helping clients see the possibilities in something that isn't perfect and assisting those relocating to the suburbs from the city, as she did herself.
Prior to real estate, Lindsay was a special education teacher, an experience that formed important skills she uses to this day. "Being a teacher not only taught me how to communicate clearly, but it also taught me how to really listen, with patience and empathy," she explains. "It also gave me the thickest skin you can imagine!" In her free time, Lindsay loves spending time with friends and family, staying active and sampling Westchester's amazing restaurants.
