Baby Food Recipes Parents Will Want To Eat
/Mom Crew caught up with our friend Michelle Williams, creator of the food website Coffee And Champagne, who shared a few of her favorite recipes that are both kid-friendly and adult-friendly. Just watch out because they’re so tasty, you might forget to save some for your little ones!
Hey Crew! Like lots of you, I am a working mama. Fun (not quite sure if Iʼm saying that with a sarcastic tone or not)! Since I know firsthand how busy you must be, Iʼll keep this as succinct as I possibly can as a wordy human. My name is Michelle Williams and I run the food website Coffee And Champagne, where I develop easy-to-make, unique recipes and recommend only the most delicious restaurants in New York City (in case you need to find a place for a date night out).
In October 2018, I had my super awesome son Sutton and, like his mama, he LOVES food. Maybe itʼs because I have him with me full-time while Iʼm bopping around to great restaurants, or it could be that I cook interesting food for him—perhaps itʼs both. Reason aside, I got to chatting with Emily of Mom Crew and it inspired me to write out some of my recipes for Sutton and include them on my website. Thanks, Emily! I only share the recipes that he demolishes, so I guess you can say heʼs officially a Coffee And Champagne employee. His business card should read “Baby Food Taste Tester/Guru”.
These recipes are developed with whatʼs best for my own son in mind—no processed sugars, extra protein, lots of veggies (sometimes hidden), lots of fruit, and the least amount of crumbs (well, that may be more for my sanity during clean-up time). I don’t think he should be eating just one dish over and over throughout the week, so I make a few. And I donʼt like to make food that only one person in our household can eat, so I make dishes that the whole family will want to dig into. That said, you can believe I ate lots of the carrot bread, turkey and veggie meatloaf, blueberry banana muffins, butternut squash and sweet potato macaroni and cheese—oops, as I write this I realize I always eat some of his food. Sorry not sorry, Sutton.
As of very recently, I’ve formed a new section on Coffee And Champagne JUST FOR BABY FOOD! I will be adding to it regularly, so check in when youʼre looking for an exciting (and super easy) recipe for your little one. Go ahead, check out my baby food recipes now (and bookmark them for future reference while youʼre there). Happy cooking (and eating)!
